My name is Sarosh Nadeem and I’m a Brown ‘24 grad in Architecture and Engineering!

My interests include designing for social justice, dissecting my diasporic experience through a creative lens, and reading Urdu poetry under the summer sun. When I am not sketching my friends or sawing away at a makerspace, you can find me reading under a tree or fiddling with my film camera.

My experience growing up in Saudi Arabia as a Pakistani expat attending a British school for more than 18 years informs much of the work I create. After graduating high school, I took a gap year where I interned at Foster + Partners in London, Design Tameer Studios in Islamabad, and trained at a Muay Thai camp in Thailand. In the middle of the pandemic, I began my education at Brown University, where I took various architectural design and mechanical engineering courses, and often crossed the river to enroll in a RISD course! I plan on using my skills to further investigate the different ways I can use design to enact social justice in the various sectors of life, from creating architecture that enriches marginalized communities and public spaces to designing assistive technology for those with physical disabilities.

Currently:

Interning at an architecture firm in Cambridge, MA!
